Idex, the French specialist in energy transition, has announced that they have landed the energy performance contract (EPC) for 52 public buildings in the spa town of Thonon-les-Bains, in Haute-Savoie. Idex is committed, as part of the agreement, to delivering a 28% improvement in energy performance.
Idex have already been responsible for the maintenance of heating and DHW (Hot Sanitary Water) of these buildings for the last 4 years and claim to have already, as part of this service, helped Thonon-les-Bains make energy savings by modernizing equipment and improving building insulation, among other innovations. The city had also had the opportunity to develop this work with the Energy Saving Certificates device.
Gilles Cairoli, deputy for sport and sustainable development in Thonon-les-Bains, commented on the news, saying: “The rising cost of energy has led us to seek more efficient management means that the simple maintenance contract for installations heat which the city enjoyed so far. So it was almost natural that CPE was considered and after a tender, Idex has won the contract. ”
As part of this CPE, Idex will operate and maintain the heating and DHW of 52 buildings involved, and also planned a number of works: boiler renovation, pipes or insulation work, the amount forecast is set at 1.5 million euros.
