Alfa Laval, the Swedish company specializing in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling has signed a contract to supply compact heat exchangers to a district heating plant in China. The contract, which is worth about 100 million Swedish crowns (€ 9 million), is planned for 2015 and 2016. The heat exchangers will be installed for use in a district heating network to supply heating for nearly a million homes in winter. The project will be managed by one of the largest district heating companies in China. Compact heat exchangers will be used as pressure breakers and act as an intermediary between the power plant and the district heating network. The purpose of the pressure switches is to treat the water at temperatures and pressures and to ensure that the operation of the network remains stable.
“I am very pleased to announce this important district heating control,” said President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group, Lars Renström. “This order proves our strong position as a supplier of reliable products for demanding applications. “.
